ARTSPACE

ARTSPACE Is Here

In a few short months, ARTSPACE will open its ACTUAL doors to the community.

By fall, we’ll begin rolling out new programming, including:

  • for-credit Practicum courses for WISD seniors
  • art classes, workshops, & camps
  • contemporary artist talks & works

But we need your help.

Now through May 31, 2023, all donations, up to $1,200/mo, will be matched by a generous anonymous donor, giving us the opportunity to raise the $2,400/mo needed to offset our operational expenses.

With your support, we can achieve this goal.

What Is ARTSPACE?

ARTSPACE will serve as a student-run exhibit space that will display work by contemporary Texas artists and give students the opportunity to learn how to run an exhibit from the inside out. ProjectART will pair both high school and college-age students with professional mentors for real-world courses in entrepreneurship, curation, gallery operations, and marketing. We’re also busy designing a curriculum that will align this project with local school practicum and career-focused initiatives.

It will also be a place to house our growing mentorship program, workshops, performances (including poetry readings and live music), after school art classes and summer camps, and a safe space for local teens to gather.

The Letter

Wednesday, November 16 2022

On a warm afternoon in May, students, mentors, and community members gathered to celebrate a successful projectMENTOR season. Locals chatted as they viewed the products of 11 collaborations in a variety of mediums. The associated auction raised additional funds to help keep this program going. Three months later, proceeds from PROM and boots on the ground fundraising contributed to more than $6,500 in donations to area schools. These programs are possible because of you.

We now have the opportunity to create a physical space in Wimberley: a space to showcase contemporary Texas artists; a space for workshops, performances, and summer camps; a space to house our growing mentorship program; and perhaps most importantly, a safe space for teens to gather…

ARTSPACE

Now through December 31, 2022, donations, up to $45,000, will be matched by a generous anonymous donor, giving us the opportunity to raise the $90,000 needed to make this space a reality.

With your support, we can achieve this goal. To make a contribution please click on one of the “Support ARTSPACE” buttons on this page.

Remember that any amount you donate before December 31, 2022 will be doubled. Thank you for your continued support, without YOU we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

All our gratitude,
