Help as needed to collect, mount, and install student art displays around Wimberley. You would coordinate with projectART or the area art teachers to collect the work, may do mounting of the artwork, and deliver and hang artwork in different businesses and public spaces in the Wimberley area.
We have seven local artists who are mentoring middle and high school students this 2021 Spring Semester! Please contact us if you are a local artist who would like to mentor an art student during the 2021-2022 school year. We will discuss details of projectMENTOR with each individual volunteer, as well as details like the location and general setup of the apprenticeship program.
We would work with you, the art teacher, staff, and parents at the local elementary and secondary schools to set dates and after-school times for the lesson(s).
We need community members willing to speak at Wimberley ISD Board meetings during citizen comments. You can share your personal experiences with art education, and anything else positive relating to supporting art in schools.
projectART is in need of volunteers interested in planning another PROM fundraising event, helping with grant writing, and helping with other local events and festivals.
